Love this post! I’ve heard muscimol classified as a depressant, psychedelic and a dissociative. Is it possible it can act as all three at different concentrations in the brain? Or is it the case that anything that alters ones view of the world is a psychedelic?
Yes, different dosage levels can sometimes generate entirely different types of effects or, with some drugs, a mixture of effects at the same time! Ketamine, for example, has both dissociative and psychedelic effects at low doses, but becomes much more dissociative and more of an anaesthetic as the dosage increases.
